Technical Manager

A  truly spectacular opportunity to work with one of the world’s top Arts Venues which, besides a calendar of renowned global concerts & events, has a much loved & admired programme of music education in one of the most beautiful of the technical spaces in the UK.

They are now in need of a Technical Manager, who will maintain the impressive standard of delivery for all activities as well as having a strategic overview of all the AV & IT infrastructure. You will be managing the technical team to ensure the highest quality events, the delivery of replacements & upgrades of equipment and to work with technical personnel in supporting all operations.

This is your chance to take responsibility for all aspects of production, to make sure equipment, hardware & software is both functioning and fully supported- you will be the first point of contact for any technical faults and queries; reviewing the technical operating policies of the venue, the technical training of the team (and others) and you’ll be central to all things technical, acting as Production Technician for events requiring set-up and operation of sound, lighting, rigging, Audio Visual and IT equipment. Liaising & working with the various Events teams & individual technical personnel involved.

Your technical ability and equipment operation ability, coupled with your inspirational managerial style, will be invaluable in continuing the mission to inform, entertain and delight all those who visit or take part; the ability to motivate & galvanize your team will be key in enabling the wider community of artists, aficionados and those new to the arts to experience and what the venue has to offer, bringing this pioneering work and the music & events to people from across all levels of achievement & backgrounds. Your customer service and client facing ability invaluable in meeting with corporate clients, private individuals or others from an artistic or technical background.
